Framing
Most paintings are supplied framed unless specified. Framing is specific to the painting but usually a 6cm wide contemporary flat wood frame for smaller paintings, hand painted using Farrow and Ball paints in a pale or off white colour depending on the oil painting. Paintings on deep frame canvases (4cm deep) may be framed or unframed as specified. If framed it will be using inlay frames with a narrow shadow gap, hand painted using Farrow and Ball pale colour paints.
Some paintings are double framed. This means that the painting is framed with a traditional profile 9cm wide painted wood frame with an additional inner slip frame. These are hand painted in Farrow and Ball paint colours. The colour of the inner and outer frames will be chosen to complement the painting.
