I am delighted to be exhibiting again with Jaye Guest in an exhibition and sale of oil, acrylic and mixed media paintings, and some fabulous ceramics, in aid of the hardworking RNLI in Cornwall.

These are some of Jaye's artworks and ceramics that are in the show:

First prize in Harpenden Arts Club Exhibition 2019

I was excited to find out that the public had voted again for one of my paintings as "Best in Show" at the annual Harpenden Arts Club Exhibition 2019.

The award went to my 40 x 40cm oil painting "Footprints in the sand". Many thanks to all who voted!

Prize winner at Harpenden Arts Club Exhibition 2018

I was delighted to receive 3rd prize in the public vote at the Harpenden Arts Club Annual Exhibition in November 2018 with this painting:

Winners' Exhibition in Welwyn Garden City

I was delighted to win the first prize for 2D work at the New Maynard Gallery Open Exhibition back in 2017, and the prize was a commission free exhibition at the gallery, together with Amanda Charles, the 3D winner for her fused glass works, and Colin Mahoney who won the photographic section of the competition. The exhibition ran from 13th September to 13th October 2018 in the New Maynard Gallery.

Children fishing for crabs from the rocks, sunlight silhouetting the children, sparkling light on the water, Rock Cornwall

I'm delighted to report that my oil painting "Crabbing" was voted for by the public and awarded first place in the Harpenden Arts Club Annual Exhibition in November 2017.

It is a "contra jour" painting - meaning looking towards the light.  I was inspired to paint it after observing the clear coastal light bouncing off the water and giving halo effects to the people fishing for crabs from the rocks.

I was very happy that it was snapped up by a discerning art collector on the preview evening of the exhibition.
